Hexmaps for NZ District Health Boards

Draws stylized choropleth maps -- hexagonal maps and triangular multiclass hex maps -- for New Zealand District Health Boards and Regional Council areas. These allow faceted, coloured displays of quantitative information for comparison across District Health Boards or Regional Councils. The preprint Lumley (2019) is based on the methods in this package.

The easiest way to install the package in R is to use the remotes package from CRAN

install.packages("remotes")
remotes::install_github("tslumley/DHBins")

If you want to use the map layouts for DHBs and regions but not the software, you can do that under the Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 license (or the GPL as applied to the code: your choice)

The manuscript is on arXiv: http://arxiv.org/abs/1912.04435
